Our treatment | |
|
The Policlinica Alen method of helping you to stop smoking consists firstly of familiarising ourselves with every individual patient’s personal profile as a smoker and thereafter of acting upon both the physical and psychological determining factors. Once an initial check-up of both heart and lungs has been carried out, we then move on to applying individual techniques as part of the treatment. These involve a whole series of treatments relative to the symptoms of tobacco addiction such as dependency; conducting cognitive techniques are used, pharmacological treatment (substitutive therapy involving nicotine, bupropion and other drugs which have shown scientific evidence of their effectiveness), health education and monitoring of biological parameters. In cases where it is necessary, we refer to psychological support in order to assure complete success. | |
