Endondontia

Endondontia is concerned with preserving and maintaining the individual tooth thereby avoiding extraction.
The main causes of this disease are tooth decay and periodontal infection (pyorrhoea) which leads to the tooth losing its vitality. There are various solutions: Extending from a pulp-like coating which provides protection for both the tooth and the nerve to root canal treatments which will irreversibly damage the nerve as this is a process whereby infection is passed on to all surrounding tissues where the tooth has lost its vitality. Endodontia is normally accomplished within one or two sessions. It is totally free of pain and involves: | |
