Policlinica ALEN came into existence in May 1997 and since then, it has continued to advance and grow:
- In May 1997, Policlinica ALEN acquired a small and poorly attended dental clinic in Av. Los Lirios, 26 de Las Lagunas (Mijas Costa)
- In January 2002, owing to experimental growth and the geographical expansion of the Costa del Sol, new premises with better facilities were opened in La Cala de Mijas. During this year, we extended our services in various medical specialist treatments.

- In March 2004, Policlinica ALEN acquired an associate clinic in Torremolinos.
- In May 2004, two new medical specialist treatments were added: Paediatrics and General Medicine.
- In September 2005, the clinic in La Cala de Mijas underwent building modifications offering better utilisation of space and layout.
- In February 2006, owing to patient demand, we added the service of photo depilation or IPL (medically removing unwanted hair)
- In June 2006, the clinic in Las Lagunas situated in Av. Los Lirios, 9, (Mijas Costa) underwent building changes to provide yet more space.
- In December 2008, Policlinica ALEN sold its share in the medical centre in Torremolinos in an effort to concentrate all its effort into the clinics in Mijas Costa and La Cala de Mijas where it has 100% ownership.
- In February 2009, we added specialist treatments in Dermatology.
- In January 2010, we extended the La Cala de Mijas clinic into adjoining premises thereby doubling the initial amount of space.
In February 2010, we acquired the latest digital technology in all round oral radiography.
In March 2010, we added specialist treatments in gynaecology and obstetrics. |
