Periodontics

This is a disease which gradually affects those elements which support the tooth beginning from the gums at the top to the bone at the very base.

It is a particularly serious infection as in its most advanced form, when much of the surrounding bone has been destroyed; it leads irreparably to movement and loss of teeth.

It should be known that the progression of this disease can be halted and that if detected and treated in the early stages, there is a greater prospect of it being cured. For this reason, regular visits to the dentist are strongly recommended.

Our patients receive regular monitoring of any periodontal disease in an attempt to stop its advance. This is done by applying specialist brushing techniques.

Equally we monitor implant treatments with the aim of controlling any deterioration of the bone or any ensuing problems of local inflammation.
